    KSwitcher v0.3.0 — separate single-instance configurator Stable

    Upgrade from v0.2.3 or earlier

    Install this release manually once. The older updater rejects the additional executable. Exit KSwitcher, extract the complete ZIP into the installation folder, and retain data/ and any customized dictionaries. Keep KSwitcher.exe, KSwitcher.Config.exe, and dictionaries/ together. Future updates support both executables through the tray Update menu.

    Changes

    • Settings and the snippet editor now run on demand in KSwitcher.Config.exe.
    • Repeated launches activate the existing configurator. Closing its last window exits the process and releases its memory.
    • Settings apply immediately through the resident process, with validation and protection against conflicting saves.
    • Shortcut recording uses the resident keyboard hook; the configurator adds no global input hooks and loads no clipboard history or dictionaries.
    • Packaging and the updater validate, install and roll back both executables.
    • About displays the actual application version.

    In a local before/after measurement after opening and closing Settings, resident working set decreased from about 21.0 MiB to 14.7 MiB. Results vary; total memory is higher while the configurator is open.

    Validation: 170 native checks, 51 input/layout checks, 28 updater/metadata checks, and 21 configurator process checks passed (270 total).

    Assets: KSwitcher-win-x64.zip and SHA256SUMS.txt. No personal settings or clipboard history are included.
